Celluloid and open flame not a good idea

We have all heard that you never use open flame around old pen as they might be celluloid.  Here is why.  No pens were harmed in this.  Only one little piece of celluloid I had left over from a pen I made today.

    Haha, you had to burn it. Isn't celluloid the same material film strips were made of?

    Yes the old films all used celluloid
